Edinburgh Escapes offers two booking options.

Edinburgh Escapes Flexible Rate

Our Flexible Rate provides greater flexibility should your travel plans change.

Payment Schedule

• A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the accommodation cost is payable when the booking is confirmed.
• The remaining balance is due 14 days before your scheduled arrival date.

For bookings made within 14 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Edinburgh Escapes Saver Rate

Guests choosing our Saver Rate receive an additional 10% discount from our standard direct booking price.

Because of this additional discount:

• Full payment is required when booking.
• The booking is non-refundable.
• Date changes may only be offered at our discretion and are always subject to availability and any difference in price.

Edinburgh Escapes offers guests better value when booking directly.

Our standard direct booking prices are typically lower than those published through major Online Travel Agencies (OTAs), such as Airbnb and Booking.com.

From time to time we may also offer exclusive direct booking promotions which are only available when booking through Edinburgh Escapes.

We accept payment by most major debit and credit cards, together with bank transfer where agreed in advance.

Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers or, where applicable, directly to Evergreen Property Ltd acting as managing agent for the Property Owner.

For certain bookings, including corporate stays or extended reservations, we may issue an invoice with payment terms agreed in advance.

Unless otherwise stated, all prices displayed on our Website are shown and payable in Pounds Sterling (£).

Where applicable, bookings are subject to the Edinburgh Visitor Levy.

The levy is currently charged at 5% of the accommodation cost for the first five consecutive nights plus the cleaning fee of your stay, in accordance with the City of Edinburgh Council Visitor Levy Scheme.

The Visitor Levy is a statutory charge set by the local authority.

Edinburgh Escapes collects the levy on behalf of the Council and it is not retained by Evergreen Property Ltd or the property owner.

Where applicable, the levy will be clearly shown as a separate line item during the booking process and on your booking confirmation.

Should the legislation or levy rate change before your stay commences, the applicable levy will be calculated in accordance with the legislation in force at the time of your stay.

Your booking becomes confirmed once:

• we have received the required payment; and
• you have received written confirmation from Edinburgh Escapes.

Please check your confirmation carefully and notify us immediately if anything appears incorrect.

Outstanding balances are due no later than 14 days before arrival, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to cancel your booking and retain any monies already paid in accordance with this Policy.

Cancellation requests must be made in writing by email. A cancellation request shall not be treated as received until acknowledged by Edinburgh Escapes.

The date we receive your cancellation request will determine any refund due.

More than 14 days before arrival

Your booking may be cancelled.

Your 10% deposit is non-refundable, however all other accommodation payments received will be refunded.
